Collective worship

At the heart of Becket Keys’ life are our opportunities for collective worship. These take many forms but include regular Eucharists (at least one each term) which are led by local clergy and are often at our parish church St Thomas of Canterbury in Brentwood.

Our style of worship is in line with our local parish church, but recognises and celebrates other approaches from within the Church of England.

Daily acts of worship are held in school, either for year groups, houses or individual forms. These ‘assemblies’ are led by the head teacher, other teachers, clergy, students and visitors. Each act of worship has a strong Anglican character and help to establish the Christian ethos of the school.

In addition, daily prayers are said at key times of the day, led by students and staff.
