6th Form Curriculum Guide - Year 13 Art
Term 1Personal Investigation- Initial Ideas and Written Personal Study   
Students will be exploring their individually chosen theme. They will be creating artwork using a variety of media in experimental ways. Concepts and meaningful ideas will be developed with the support of in depth research. The work will be presented in a written Personal Study of between 1000-3000 words. In addition to a body of practical artwork which fulfills the Personal Investigation.
Assessment: Students will receive regular feedback through verbal discussion, peer assessment and target setting within lessons. Written feedback will also be provided by peers and teaching staff where appropriate to support progress and reporting. Work will be assessed against the 4 AQA assessment objectives resulting in a grade A*-E. Key Words and Terms

Students will be exploring their individually chosen theme. They will be creating artwork using a variety of media in experimental ways. Students will select one theme from the AQA exam paper. They will then be exploring their individually chosen theme. They will be creating artwork using a variety of media in experimental ways. Concepts and meaningful ideas will be developed with the support of in depth research.
